About Us
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
We are a husband and wife team with years of experience in small animal clinical practice in the Gloucestershire area. Having worked in a variety of clinics over the years, we were certain that things could be improved upon. Veterinary clinics are losing their way and we're here to change that.
Our goal is to rekindle the relationship between vet and pet owner. We'll get to know you and your pet, removing the ‘revolving door’ clinical approach that you as pet owners may have unfortunately become familiar with. Taking the time to listen, understand and ultimately connect with pet owners helps us to provide excellent clinical care and to put your pet first.
These values are at the core of what we do. As pet owners ourselves, we know how stressful it is to have a sick animal. We are here to help and guide you every step of the way. We will clearly explain our approach as well as the proposed treatment plan with you. Let us take you through all of the available options and choose the treatment that is right for your pet.

I have been working in small animal clinical practice in Gloucestershire since 2015. I enjoy all elements of veterinary medicine but have a keen interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, which lead me to completing my Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with The Royal Veterinary College.
Providing veterinary care for pets is a real privilege and I feel lucky to call it work. I really value the vet-pet owner bond and enjoy getting to know people and their pets.
Outside of work I am an avid Munster rugby supporter and a terrible golfer.
You will see my two dogs, Ronda & Walter, roaming around the practice. Be sure to say hello to them, they will definitely want to say hello to you!

I graduated from University College Dublin in 2016 and have spent the last 7 years working in a very busy small animal practice in Gloucestershire. I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice. I have keen interests in both soft tissue surgery & internal medicine.
Last year I began my Advanced Practitioner Certificate with the Royal Veterinary College and hope to complete this in the coming years.
My goal, alongside my husband, is to create a family run practice that focuses on first class animal and client care. A place where each family and pet knows they are the focus, with undivided & expert veterinary care.
Outside of practice, I have a keen interest in art and design. Not to mention being outdoors with my cheeky dogs Ronda & Walter!

Head Registered Veterinary Nurse
I found a love for animals at a young age which has led me to work in veterinary practices around Gloucestershire since I was 15 years old. I then went on to complete my nursing training at Harper Adams University.
I have worked with Ben and Jess over the last 8 years and am extremely proud to be part of Madra. I have a keen interest in Schedule 3 surgery and have become a lot more experienced in this area under the guidance of Ben and Jess.
In 2021 I trained as a clinical coach; I love teaching nursing students and supporting them through their training. It is so rewarding to watch student nurses develop and grow as they progress in their careers.
Outside of the practice you will find me walking in the countryside with Pepper, my muddy Working Cocker Spaniel. On weekends I'll often be out exploring with my partner, in our campervan.

Veterinary Surgeon
I have been involved in small animal clinical practice for over 20 years now. At least three quarters of that time has been based in Gloucestershire.
One of the joys of our job is the variety of patients that we help and having the ability to be both a medic and a surgeon. I have a passion for surgery and have been performing a vast range of orthopaedic surgeries throughout my career. Treatments for canine cruciate disease have been an area of particular interest for me.
I am excited to join Ben and Jess and become part of a family lead veterinary service for the local community.
Outside of work my life is led around our three young children, our two Labradors, the hens and Mildred the Boa constrictor!

Registered Veterinary Nurse
I grew up surrounded by animals, which inspired me to pursue a career in Veterinary practice from a young age.
I graduated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Hartpury University in 2024 and began my career in equine practice. After gaining valuable experience with horses, I was eager to broaden my skill set by working in small animal practice, where I could further my knowledge in schedule 3 nursing and take a more hands-on role in surgery.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found Madra, where I get to work alongside a wonderful team.
I am excited to continue growing as a nurse with the support and guidance of Ben and Jess. Outside of Madra you will find me riding my horse, spending time with friends, and occasionally heading back to the coast to visit my family.

Registered Veterinary Nurse
I have always had a love for animals of all sizes from horses to guinea pigs and everything in between.
This passion led me to complete my nursing training at Harper Adams University, graduating in 2024.
Since graduating I have developed a keen interest in inpatient care and would like to further my education in intensive care.
I feel extremely lucky to be working in such an amazing up and coming practice. Madra has given me the confidence to step up from student roles to qualified nursing roles.
Outside of work I love to be out on the hills with my speedy spaniels, Ollie and Woody. At the weekend I enjoy being at home tending to my ever expanding variety of furry friends.

I've always had a love for animals, which led me to complete a diploma in Animal Management at college before going on to study Veterinary Nursing at Hartpury University, where I recently graduated.
Over the years, I've gained experience volunteering on dairy and pig farms and even travelled to Namibia, Africa to work at an animal sanctuary — an unforgettable experience that deepened my passion for animal care.
I've always had animals at home and have rescued both a cat and a hamster, which has only strengthened my commitment to animal welfare.
Outside of the practice, you'll often find me working behind an events bar with my partner. We love being part of all kinds of events, from village fêtes to occasions like the F1!
